It’s nice to see games on the international market. To me it makes gaming the third international language right behind love and music. This just proves that sitting around with friends, comrade, and using ones imagination are something we can all agree on. Here is information about the Savage Worlds going international.
Savage Worlds Spanish Crowdfunding Campaign Funded!
News from Pinnacle Entertainment Group
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Savage Worlds, the award-winning tabletop roleplaying game from Pinnacle Entertainment Group, licensed the core rules to HT Publishers for translation into Spanish. HT Publishers set up a crowdfunding campaign on their site with a goal of €3,000—which reached full funding within 2 days of launch. The crowdfunding campaign allows Spanish fans the chance to preorder the book in PDF or print format, and gain extra rewards like Bennies, Adventure Deck cards, and more. The campaign ends July 15, 2015. Check out the Savage Worlds en Español project (http://htpublishers.es/projects/savage-worlds-basico/) for full details on backer rewards and available products. HT Publishers is a Spanish publishing house known for its RPG magazine, Crítico, and La Espada Negra, a dark and gritty fantasy RPG. Their headquarters are in the seacoast city of Aviles, in the Principality of Asturias, Spain. Alfonso Garcia, lead English contact for HT Publishers, says “We have taken a beachhead, funding our basic goal in less than 48 hours, but the invasion continues!” As funding levels reach stretch goals like €4,000, new adventures and character trackers will be made available to supporters. Funding already unlocked character sheet translation into Basque, Catalan, and Galician languages. Creator of Savage Worlds and owner of Pinnacle Entertainment Group Shane Hensley states “We’re thrilled to see Pinnacle games back in Spain after all these years, and we’re incredibly excited to see the reception our new partners have received by funding so quickly. Savage Worlds is truly an international game these days, and I can’t wait to see what our Spanish amigos do with it! I hope to visit there in the next few years and see it for myself!” Continue reading “News Time with Game Gumshoes”
