A few messages from Modiphius
We’re pleased to announce the release of Children of Orion – The Venu Sourcebook, the brand new supplement for Mindjammer – The Roleplaying Game, from ENnie-award winning writer Sarah Newton (Mindjammer, Legends of Anglerre, Achtung! Cthulhu, Monsters & Magic) and David Donachie (Mindjammer, Legends of Anglerre, Solipsist).
“YOU WILL KNEEL BEFORE THE EMPEROR—OR DIE!
“To dwell on the past is weakness! We were born from nucleonic fire. We were forged in flame and suffering. And now we march to the stars and make the spawn of abomination burn!”
Welcome to the Bright Empire of Venu—the interstellar civilization of the “bad guys” of Human Space! An ancient people of xenophobic human supremacists, survivors of an ancient war, now hellbent on cleansing the cosmos of abomination and bringing the purifying word of their undying God-Emperor to the stars.
Children of Orion—the Venu Sourcebook provides a whole new universe of adventure for your Mindjammer games—a harsh and violent interstellar empire beyond the Commonality frontier. Play rebels against the domineering rule of the God-Emperor, mutated troopers and servitors of the sinister Dark Radiance fighting against the cultural inroads of the Commonality—or Commonality agents themselves, working behind enemy lines to defeat an implacable foe which once devastated the Core Worlds! It’s a completely different vibe for your Mindjammer games—darker, more desperate, where the survival of an entire people is at stake.
Children of Orion—the Venu Sourcebook includes:
- Prehistories and histories of the Empire of Venu
- The strange powers of the Dark Radiance
- Starmaps and world descriptions
- Full details for creating Venu characters, including genotypes, occupations, and cultures
- Venu tech and starships
- Guidelines for playing Venu campaigns. Fight against the Venu, or play a Venu character yourself!
A sourcebook for Mindjammer—The Roleplaying Game. The Mindjammer—The Roleplaying Game core book is required for play.
Children of Orion—the Venu Sourcebook is now available in PDF format on DriveThruRPG, with the print edition available from the 23rd November.
We hope you enjoy this exciting new Mindjammer sourcebook, part of the fantastic Mindjammer Collection, which joins other Mindjammer supplements like BLUE, The Far Havens, Dominion, The City People, and Hearts and Minds, in this ever-growing setting of mind-blowing transhuman science-fiction adventure.
We’re also pleased to announce the release of Achtung! Cthulhu: Code of Honour – Zero Point 1942, the third instalment in the Zero Point campaign from ENnie-award winning writer Sarah Newton (Mindjammer, Legends of Anglerre, Achtung! Cthulhu, Monsters & Magic).
Welcome to the City of Spies!
“I’m involved in a dangerous game,
Every other day I change my name,
The face is different but the body’s the same,
Boo, boo, baby! I’m a spy!”
– Popular song in wartime Istanbul
Istanbul in 1942 is a neutral city, packed with spies. Everyone’s here – the Nazis, the Soviets, the Brits and the Yanks, the Japanese and a host of other nations, all waging a deadly war of wits against a backdrop of cocktail bars and polite smiles. From the infamous Snake Pit in the Park Hotel, to the jazz clubs and fashionable restaurants of Istiklal Avenue, to the warrens of alleys around the spires and mosques of Faith and Sultanahmet, it’s a city in ferment. While Turkey desperately tries to stay out of the war, the Führer’s armies mass less than a hundred miles away.
But that’s not all. Something even more terrifying is going on beneath the ancient streets of the Sublime Porte. Meddling forces have unearthed an ancient treasure, setting in motion plans centuries old which threaten to change the course of the whole war – and even the world!
Code of Honour: Zero Point 1942 is a multi-session Achtung! Cthulhu adventure with a difference. It features:
- Descriptions and personalities of Istanbul in 1942
- A detailed map of wartime Istanbul
- Rules for tradecraft and spying
- Secrets and mysteries of Istanbul , including new grimoires
- A multi-session adventure of lethal conspiracy
Can you fathom the mystery of Code of Honour, and win this deadly battle in the secret war? We hope you enjoy this latest release from Modiphius’ Achtung! Cthulhu range and look out for more great campaigns, adventures and products, coming soon!
