We’ve funded 100% in less than two weeks. The feelings rippling through Team Dized are humbling. We’ve seen so many of you passionately participating in the conversation, and suffice to say, you’ve all come to feel like friends. Thank you, from the bottom of our 20-sided heart, for dreaming big with us.
Of course, as our friend, you know us well enough to understand we just wouldn’t be satisfied with a mere 100%. Because we want to grow our library faster, build even more engaging community and developer features, and generally make Dized even better than we imagined!
So we’re pushing forward to reach even more unimaginable goals, and you can help! We can do this together in a few ways:
Our Referral Program
Share with your friends and encourage them to back using a unique code you will receive in your e-mail after you back. The more they back using your code, the more benefits you reap!
Big (and small) Time Stretch Goal
The next Stretch Goal at $75,000 will allow us to expand user profiles with more features that will strengthen the community – more details on those are coming in the next few days.
We are also discussing how to offer mini-Stretch Goals in between “the big ones”. We have some ideas in mind, but please let us know your thoughts joining the The Dized Fellowship!
A new game announced!
We promised you more game announcements during the campaign, so how about… Steve Jackson Games’ upcoming hit Munchkin the Collectible Card Game, designed by renowned game creators Eric M. Lang and Kevin Wilson?
The new Munchkin title features the classic humor of Munchkin, and offers strategy, bluffing, and top-notch puns.
Throughout our campaign, we have announced an eclectic catalog of titles: from gateway games such as Carcassonne and King Domino to more complex and thematic titles like Blood Rage and Scythe. One of the most popular questions we’ve received is: “How will Dized break the rules down and explain the complexity of these heavier games?”
Well, now we can show you. Here is a small sneak peek of the Scythe tutorial. We’re incredibly proud of this as not only does it highlight the amazing artwork of artist Jakub Rozalski but also the breadth of what Dized can accomplish. This small clip also shows how through the use of music, voiceover, and animation our Tutorials will seamlessly immerse you into the lore and mood of each game’s world as you learn to play.
See a sneak peek of the Scythe tutorial in action!
The focus on the Encounter Cards allows us to demonstrate how Dized interprets the complexity of the numerous actions you contend with during a turn. After a player makes a choice, Dized shows and tells what the rewards are for that action, where to place resources on the board and makes sure you don’t miss anything.
Discussing with Jamey Stegmaier (designer of the game), and from the input of our in-house team of developers, allows us to highlight areas where players are often overlooking rules or bookkeeping tasks. And with Dized, these will never be missed again.
7 Wonders is also a title that we’ve been honored to announce, and while its game system is not as complex as the one of Scythe, it still includes many moving parts during each round.
This is an overview of what the end of an age will look. Work in progress!
As demonstrated, you can see how Dized resolves the end of an age and specifically the tracking of the military conflicts between each of the cities.
We’re incredibly excited to be able to show you the amazing work our team is already accomplishing on the titles we’ve announced. Feel free to visit the comments section of our campaign, and tell us what situations in these games are hard to remember or figure out. What are your most overlooked rules? And if you haven’t done it yet, back the campaign!
Founded in 2014 by enthusiastic players and game designers Jouni Jussila and Tomi Vainikka, Playmore Games’ goal is to show there is a better way to learn and enjoy board games together. While the board games industry is booming, a significant obstacle remains: learning rules is a slow and tedious process. Playmore Games’ first app, Dized, will offer smart tutorials, setup guidance, a blazing fast rules lookup tool and other exclusive features to make the board game experience all about fun.
