If you have yet to purchase your Gen Con 2016 badges, time is running out to save $30 off of your 4-Day badge. Badge prices will change to their standard on-site pricing on June 19, so don’t delay. You can buy your badge at gencon.com. After June 19 at midnight (Eastern), shipping of badges and event tickets will begin for those that selected that option. Please ensure that your address and shipping name is up-to-date on your Gen Con profile page.

One Deck Dungeon by Asmadi Games
Asmadi Games is proud to bring you a complete dungeon delve experience in a compact package: A roguelike in just one deck. One Deck Dungeon lets you jump right in, bash down doors, roll dice, and squash baddies with style. By using each of the cards in four different ways (as an encounter, XP, a skill/potion, or a stat-boosting item), all the experience of dungeon delving has been fit into a compact package. You can venture in alone, or bring a friend. The dragon doesn’t care; he’s happy to eat both of you!
One Deck Dungeon is in its last week on Kickstarter. Exciting stretch goals including a Campaign Mode are just around the corner! They have already unlocked translucent dice and Kickstarter-exclusive wooden hearts for damage markers. Join them! You have nothing to lose but your HP and experience points.
You also can try One Deck Dungeon and all of Asmadi’s other games at Gen Con 2016 in their Department of Fun event room, ICC 144. You can read about all their event offerings at their web page.
Balloon Sculptor – Storm the Castle
Last year, Gen Con favorite, Balloon Sculptor Tim Thurmond created an epic, record-setting kraken. Made entirely out of balloons, this beast was destroyed for charity, benefiting The Julian Center. This year, The Balloon Sculptor returns with an all-new idea- a forbidding ice castle guarded by an ancient beast. Watch the construction all weekend-long outside the Exhibit Hall, then see the castle stormed on Sunday, August 7 at noon. You can bid to be a part of the opening castle attack at noon, before the destruction begins! Once the castle-storming begins, children will be invited to take part, too.
The First Exposure Playtest Hall (FEPH), presented by Double Exposure, allows designers and publishers to preview and test their creations before they go live! These games includes prototypes for RPGs, board games, card games, and more. Game publishers are looking to find eager players to try out their new games. This is also a chance for attendees to test out games that are not even released out to the general public and give feedback about how they can make the game better and be part of shaping games coming out in 2017.
The FEPH is scheduled in two-hour sessions throughout the weekend from 8 am until midnight each night (closing at 2 pm on Sunday). Players can get tickets for individual sessions just like any other event.
Filmmakers from around the world will gather to compete in the Gen Con 2016 Film Festival. Want to see FREE movies, shorts, and episodic entertainment hand-picked for the Gen Con audience? Some filmmakers will travel from as far away as New Zealand and every corner of the country for screenings, film panels, and a chance to win coveted awards. The Gen Con Film Festival focuses on genres that appeal to gaming attendees including fantasy, sci-Fi, horror, animation, anime, martial arts, gaming, related parodies, and documentaries.
