A month in review from Adventures in Filbr.
As spring fades into summer, it is time for another Filbar monthly recap! First, again let me thank all of you for your continued support and emails, I really appreciate it! Next up is a general reminder that Gen Con is just around the corner and I HIGHLY recommend going if you have never been before. I will be debuting the Legend of Pula Noa, but sadly all tickets have been snapped up. For those of you lucky enough to get in…boy do I have swag for you! Ok, let’s recap May!
The first offering for the month was FVS6 – Penchant for Adventure – 2. You may recognize the general overview, a small town with problems for a solo adventurer. This one pits a 2nd level-ish character coming to town for a festival, but discovering it may get cancelled thanks to a beast from Hell! Once that challenge is beaten and accolades are heaped, another problem ensues. All in all a busy little adventure and as the first offering of the month, it is free!
Week two’s offering was a true solo adventure for 5th edition. FVS1 – Zechariah’s Dungeon pits a new/young delver into an old dungeon of an arcane mage. The scenario is in two parts, the first being a true solo – no DM required, and the second is a solo for a DM/PC! This thing has flown off web with the best start I’ve had and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback personally, but still waiting for reviews…hint, hint!
Today we released FQ10, Enclave of the Exterminatus, and a continuation of the 1st /2nd edition Filbar Quest series. This adventure is not for the queasy and can be a real TPK threat. The party leaves the plush retreat from FQ9 to seek out some rumored “best wine ever” in a backwater village. Once in the Precinct of Bench, they quickly discover that the Exterminatus has been kidnapping people and forcing them to construct their stronghold in the wilds. The scenario includes a listing of Bench and a compound layout. If you aren’t playing the FQ series, this adventure will still give you two excellent playing scenarios. If you are embroiled in the series, you may discover a few pages from the legendary Codex of Gamber Dauch (Daw-sch)!
We’ll close out May with FVU1 – Ga Mantse Tombs. This is a first level introductory scenario for new characters (or new players). This series was written from a request for a specific monster and is one of three. The Ga Mantse were a rich and powerful people. Legend has it that they were buried with their riches, but very few tombs have been located. A great start for new PCs!
I’m not sure how it worked out, but May was a short month, but stocked with solid adventures.
