MFG: Bigfoot Games, LLC
#of Players: 1 – 24, but Depends on the game
Age Range: Adult
Overall Construction: The components are pretty basic. They are dice. They are decent quality 8 sided dice. They come in a range of colors and in pipped or numbered versions. You can also get a rulebook that has several stand-alone games for your drinking dice.
Gameplay: The main idea behind Drinking Dice is that you use them to replace the D6 (6 Sided Dice) in any board game that you want to turn into a drinking game. As stated above the dice a 8 sided dice. They have the numbers 1 – 6 on them. The two extra sides are “Give a Drink” which looks like a hand holding a beer & “Take a Drink” which is just a picture of a frothy beer, although I may have that backwards. If you roll either of the special sides, you do what it says and re-roll that die to continue playing that game. In the book there are quite a few games that are fun, but I don’t want to overload you with various rule sets.
Yes/No Recommend: This game is simple, portable, and can make any party or gathering more fun. It is probably one of the best and most thought out drinking dice games out there.
If you really want to get drunk while playing this game I suggest using a single die and play Russian Roulette with it or get at least 6 of these dice and play Yahtzee. I put one in a Pop-O-Matic and it made trouble so much more interesting.
Warning: These dice will enhance Monopoly, but do not play it with angry drunks. Also, remember to drink responsibly. It is far too easy to over-drink when playing some variations of the rules. Game Gumshoes would rather you stop mid-game because someone has had too much to drink, than to see that anything bad has come from playing this game.
Where To Get It: This game does not have a wide distribution as far as I’m aware. Look for it at Cons, online retailers, and ask your local game store if they can order it. I believe their website can tell you how to get a copy of their game. Feel free to visit their website to check out this and other Bigfoot Games’ games at their website http://www.drinkingdice.net/
