As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, Gen Con has reached a new agreement with Sun King Brewing, extending a partnership that began in 2012. This year, the beer-naming contest is bigger and better than ever! For the first time, in addition to your submitted name, your ideas will help Sun King select a beer style and ingredients for the Official Beer of Gen Con 2016.
If you have a great name for a beer, you can submit it today. If your name is chosen, you will win a Grand Prize package including free Gen Con badges, cool Sun King merchandise, a gift card, and more! Submissions can be made at the contest link. Think your beer name is better than previous winners? Want to become a part of Gen Con history? Participate in the beer-naming contest before it’s too late! Due to contest rules, participants must be over the age of 21 and a US resident. Additional rules apply; void where prohibited.
GM/EOs: Please Check your Event Status
Gen Con’s Events Team is continuing to review and approve events as Event Registration approaches on May 15. The Event Catalog typically becomes available approximately a week prior to Event Registration opening. Event Submission is on a record pace, and the team has yet to review many events. There is no need to contact Gen Con to check when your event will be processed, as long as its status is “Submitted for Review.” Events will be reviewed as they are submitted, although late events may not be included in the initial viewing of Event Registration.
Event Organizers and GMs periodically should review their event status on gencon.com. Please double-check your event details. Once your events have left “Submitted for Review” status, you will not be able to directly edit them anymore. If you need to cancel an event, please contact email@example.com.
Thank you to all the great EO/GMs that run events and make Gen Con such an incredible experience!
