Greetings, honored customers. Today the minions have information for you on two different topics!
First, the Warlock’s Journal Contest is back! After a summer hiatus, the wandering journal has appeared again at Tabletop Adventures. Last September we filled the book with pirate-y goodness, in honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day on Sept. 19th. This time we’re turning our attention to pirates’ fabled enemies and bringing in a number of Ninja Nights!
Ninja Nights Contest Information:
The Warlock’s Journal is an interdimensional book that moves through the planes always seeking new information. This month it was discovered by the minions of Tabletop Adventures, and they are holding a contest for special descriptions to add to it. Entry deadline is September 14th; the prize will be $15.00 in store credit on RPGNow/DriveThru RPG.
Ninja Nights Entry Details:
The object is to describe a place for a ninja. The original idea was to request descriptions of the headquarters of a band of ninjas, such as a stone fortress on a remote mountaintop, or a house hidden in a teeming city. That seemed to restrict the ninjas too much, however, so entries can describe any place for a ninja, whether it be a narrow ledge outside a victim’s window, or a hidden place behind a curtain in the throne room of a patron where the ninja waits for a cue to do away with an enemy.
Each place needs a nefarious title, such as “House of the Dagger Wind” or “Niche of Doom.” The body of an entry should be at least 100 but not more than 500 words. A person can enter more than once, but each entry must be sent separately. Put the entry in the body of an e-mail and also be sure to include contact information; at a minimum, name and e-mail address. Send all entries to email@example.com. Entries must be received by midnight on Monday, September 14, 2015.
A PDF of all the entries will be available by September 17th for voting. (Any ties will be decided by the Overlord, of course.) Voting will run through September 23rd and the winner of the fan vote will be announced by September 26, 2015. For more details, please visit the Tabletop Adventures website.
Second, Tabletop Adventures is participating in a multi-publisher bundle to benefit past creators of roleplaying games. The Roleplaying Game Creators Relief Fund (RCRF) exists “to offer some assistance to tabletop RPG creators who experience medical emergencies, injuries, and other catastrophic circumstances they’re not able to handle financially.” In order to raise those assistance funds, the RCRF recruited publishers to put together a GM Care Package Bundle. Since Tabletop Adventures was built to supply “Help for the Harried Game Master,” we were delighted to participate.
From the product description: “The bundle includes over $200 worth of gaming PDFs and is available for only $20! All money received goes into the RCRF’s coffers to help it perform its mission of assisting game creators who have suffered medical or other emergencies.”
