Cosplay Guest of Honor Ejen Chuang
Ejen Chuang is a Los Angeles based photographer best known in the pop culture community as the author of Cosplay In America. In May of 2015, Ejen turned to Kickstarter to fund his follow up project: Cosplay in America V2. According to Chuang, “The process of cosplay doesn’t get covered often. This next book will be a collection of behind-the-scenes photographs as well as portraits … What I hope to achieve with this book is to provide an understanding of the cosplay culture here in the United States as well as a glimpse into the lives of many creative individuals engaged in the creating of costumes and props.” Ejen will be hosting a presentation for three days at Gen Con that will include a signed copy of his newest book. He will also be holding three open call Cosplay Photo Shoots and will host a book signing Thursday at 3 pm, Friday and Saturday at 5 pm, and Sunday at 1 pm.

Noise Complaint will perform twice at Gen Con this year.

She has provided voices for numerous video games, audiobooks, and anime, and is over the moon about getting to voice her childhood hero, Sailor Jupiter, in the Viz Media dub of Sailor Moon. Wasabi Anime has assembled some of the best known Chiptunes DJs including Benjamin Briggs, Boy Without Batteries, Hoshikuzu Kid, and Solarbear to present this high energy music experience. This event is NOT to be missed for fans of classic gaming and modern dance music.

Trophy and $500 shopping spree at Stronghold Booth #2329
This new Stronghold game by Mike Fitzgerald is a trick-taking card game in which players collect Diamonds – not cards bearing that suit, mind you, but rather actual “Diamond Crystals”. What makes the game of Diamonds different from other trick-taking card games is that when you cannot follow suit you get a “Suit Action” based on what suit you do play. Suit Actions are also taken by the winner of each trick, as well as at the end of a full Round of play. Whoever has the most points in Diamond Crystals at the end of the game wins! Click here for the full tournament schedule.
Trophy, a copy of the game, a Breaking Games game of choice, and a special package of 49s from around the world!
Starting with $49 apiece, players in The Game of 49 bid to buy spaces on the 49-square (7-by-7) game board. Randomly drawn number cards are auctioned one at a time, with the highest bidder placing a chip on the matching board space. Wild/Payoff cards give players a choice of where to place their chip and also award cash to all players for their chips on the board: $7 per chip, with a payoff maximum of $49. The first player to claim four spaces in a row, in any direction, wins. Click here for the full tournament schedule.
