MFG: Looney Labs
#of Players: 3 – 10
Age Range: 14+
I apologize in advance. If you watch the video, you will notice that I keep saying this game is 8+. I wasn’t looking at the box when I said this, I was going off the age limit for most Looney Labs games.
Overall Construction: I love how tiny this game is. The box is small and easy to carry to most places. The board itself is so small that I think it might have the same length & width of a piece of paper and is tri-folded. There are 10 tokens that seem random because they don’t match each other. I think you could loose a token, put something else in it’s place and the average person wouldn’t be able to tell. They do provide a little velvet bag to put your tokens in, so hopefully you won’t loose them. My favorite token is the Hot Dog.
The cards are very basic. They are about bridge size and come in 3 types: Voting cards, choice cards, & 5 create your own cards (you can’t expect Looney Labs to think of everything).
Gameplay: You want a quick, take it out of the box and play it party game? If so, look no further. Each player picks a token, gets their set of voting cards, & 5 choice cards. The first person to read their choices will select which color card applies to their choice. They then read off the choices and then everyone votes what people think the answer will be. If at least one player gets it right and one player gets it wrong, the correct person and the Chooser will get a point. If everyone answers the same as the Chooser, then no one gets a point. If no one has the same answer as the Chooser, the Chooser gets 2 points. Game play goes until someone reaches the end of the board. If 2 people get there at the same time then they will play until one person would be ahead.
Yes/No Recommend: As I said above, this is a fast and fun party game. The fact that they give you 5 blanks to create your own cards, is amazing. Please watch the video for my opinion on the game in detail.
Where To Get It: With this copy of Choose One, I had to get it special ordered in. The store now has several copies. I have not seen this in any of the Big Box stores.
